Artist Statement:
I am presenting abstract stages for objects—each chosen for its resonance with my own compulsions and curiosities. This work isn’t intrinsically about the objects themselves, but about the space they create: a charged environment of contemplation and confrontation. These assemblages reflect an ongoing investigation into compulsion in art-making—the urge to make, gather, arrange, and confront without the need to resolve.
I am interested in art not as explanation or artifact, but as confrontation—a disruption of passive viewing that demands an inward turn. These pieces are meant to provoke, not provide, meaning. They ask you to remain with your reactions, however incomplete, dissonant, or unresolved they may be.
The encounter happens between objects, between object and viewer, but most significantly, within the viewer. Encounter is an active—at times uncomfortable—process. Dwell in uncertainty. Trace connections, or resist them.
